The PR21S inline process refractometer is installed in pipelines of production plants to control the concentration, mixing and fermentation processes. Thanks to the standardized connections, the measurement devices can be easily installed in pipes. The measurement chamber is made of stainless steel, the measurement prism of scratch-resistant and particularly chemical-resistant sapphire. It is designed so that solids do not stick. The PR21S is used in the chemical and petrochemical industries, in automotive and aircraft manufacturing as well as in the food, sugar and beverage industries and for waste water monitoring.

Standards and guidelines
- Thanks to flexible inline integration, KRÜSS Optronic process refractometers can be seamlessly integrated into existing plant structures and support efficient quality control in real time.
- For connectivity, 2 serial interfaces, 2 analog outputs (0/4-20 mA), a switch input, 2 switch outputs and a LAN connection are available. Integration into process control systems is straightforward using established industry protocols. An optional display enables local operation, status display and fast process control – ideal for modern Industry 4.0 applications.
- CIP (clean-in-place) process cleaning guarantees high process reliability thanks to standardized processes and reproducible hygiene quality, which is very important in the food industry, for example.
