The MAT1100 model is a typical basic model for random sample inspection in the food industry. It is ideal for use when the oxygen concentration is of sole interest. A MAT1100 is also indispensable when high demands are placed on ease of operation, robustness and documentation capability in product-related environments. With the aid of an electrochemical oxygen cell (EC), the instrument measures in the range from 0.5 to 35 vol.-%, this with a repeatability of ±0.2 vol.-%. Unlike our other models, the MAT1100 requires very little time to heat up and can therefore be quickly used for occasional measurement or in case of frequent “changes of location”.
Basic functions
- Easy and intuitive to operate via touchscreen – even for untrained personnel
- Low-drift electrochemical oxygen cell (EC) measures O2 in measurement range from 0.5-35Vol.-% with a repeatability of ±0.2Vol.-%
- Long service life and low cross-sensitivity to acidic components (e.g. CO2) or flammable gases (e.g. alcohols, CO for coffee)
- Short measurement period
- Only a small sample volume required
- Very short warm-up time of less than 10 seconds
- Various interfaces for the convenient transfer of measured values (USB, Ethernet, RS-232)
- GMP-compliant analysis with a high standard of user management, self-analysis of the device, alarm limits and method settings

At the heart of the gas analysers is the sensor technology
Various models with different sensor technology are optionally available for optimum adaptation to the respective application. The respective proven sensor technology should be selected for each specific application and process. The range of sensors available allows optimum adaptation in terms of measurement range and accuracy:
- Electrochemical cell (EC) for O2 measurement
- Zirconium dioxide cell (ZrO2) for O2 measurement
- Non-dispersive infrared sensor (NDIR) for CO2 measurement
